Margie Plus: Leather Leggings

Every time I put on a pair of leather leggings, I feel as if I magically turn into a rock star. You can wear these with just about anything:denim shirts, camo print, or some flirty sequins. Tip: kick it with some sneakers for a look that's perfectly unexpected.

Black Blazer and Floral Dress

Wearing: Vintage blazer (similar), Macys dress (similar), Topshop shoes, American apparel socks, Sunglasses, Forever 21 necklace

Sometimes I really just hate wearing tights. When I don't want to feel constricted by tights I winterize my look with a thick pair of knit thigh highs. I got this dress at Macys on sale a few years ago but love how fun and frilly it is! Tip: double bling, triple bling, basically MORE BLING

Margie Plus: Faux Fur

I love the look of a luxe fur jacket. And faux fur is a perfect way to get the look at a low price. I used to think I couldn’t wear fur jackets thinking it would add too much bulk to my plus size body, but I'm so happy to have made this purchase! Fortunately, a lot of plus size brands offer an assortment body-conscious faux fur options. Tip: Try pairing it with boyfriend jeans.

Leopard and Gold

Wearing: Vintage sweater (similar), Xhiliration shorts, Torrid tights, Topshop shoes (similar), Michael Stars sunglasses (similar)

Between holiday and moving this last week has been very time consuming. The upside? I have found some awesome clothes I totally forgot I had. This oversized gold metallic sweater looks awesome with a pair of jeans or leggings so I decided to try it out with some leopard on leopard. I still refuse to let go of my favorite printed jazz shorts so like any things of mine, adding tights it is.

Margie Plus: Houndstooth

I've always kept a spot in my closet for a good houndstooth piece. I love the retro throwback vibe I feel when I wear a great skirt or jacket in this print. If you've been following my column, you know I love to mix and match prints and push the boundaries on what a plus size girl "can and can't" wear. With that said, I definitely recommend pairing houndstooth with a bright color, or wearing it in an unexpected way (try tights!). In this picture, I'm wearing an amazingly comfortable Worthington brand ponte skirt in oversized houndstooth, available at JC Penney for just $27.

I found this green oriental inspired jacket at goodwill the other day and am really diggin it. I think it would pair great with anything from boyfriend jeans to a LBD. I am into the watermelon color contrast i have going on and try to add a little of the fall season my paring a thick pair of black tights. I have decided I can still wear sandal heels in the fall if I add some tights ...this may be me justifying the trend but I am into it.

Margie Plus: Printed Collar Blouse

One of my favorite looks right now is a bold printed blouse with a strong collar, totally inspired by Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2012collection. They look great paired with anything from a cute mini to a simple pair of jeans.
The key to this look is in the collar, so make sure to button all the way up—and feel free to play with shirt hemlines and sleeve length. Tip: to tone it down and keep warm, add a mock neck sweater.
